先週のブログの最後に書いたUSA珍道中の様子をお伝えします！
紹介することが多すぎて、イベントレポートが追い付いていないですが、
何とか全部紹介したいので、ちょっと遅れが出ててもご了承下さい！
元々は、Bonneville Speed WeekというLand Speed Raceに、
この前El Mirageで走らせた9009を走らせるため、USAへと渡航！
今回のメンバーはこちら！
I will be reporting the Funny Trip of the USA which I mentioned in the last on last week's blog.
There are many things I want to talk about, and the event report is not catching up but, I want to show all so, please understand that there is a slight delay!
Originally, I went for the USA Trip to run this 9009 at Bonneville Speed Week Land Speed Race, which also ran at El Mirage.

僕とCrewのSumiya-sanは、今回有休を使って渡米しました！
ちなみに、この旅は、前回のMalaysiaから帰って来た、次の日に出発！
10時間のフライトでLAX Airportに到着し、MQQNEYES USAに向かいました！
『が！』
車を降りて皆さんに挨拶するタイミングで、会場に雨が降って、湖になっているという情報を聞かされました。
まだバイクの用意もしていないのに、今回の旅の目的が無くなってしまい、どうしようかと思っていたところ、
折角来たことだし、9009の車両を持ち出して普段撮れない写真を撮りに行こうということになり、
ラスベガス、Rat Fink Museum、モアブ、モニュメントバレー、
セドナを回って、カリフォルニアに戻ってくる珍道中スケジュールを作ってもらいました！
聞いた時は、ちょっとショックでしたけど、これもまた楽しいスケジュールでした。
今回のRoad Tripの移動は、こちらのChevy Vanです！

By the way, this trip is next dat departure when I came back from last times Malaysia!
We arrived at the LAX Airport 10 hours flight and went to MQQNEYES USA.
BUT!
When we were getting out from the car, we heard that it is raining at the venue and the venue turned to a lake.
I haven't prepared the bike yet and lost the purpose of this trip. When we were wondering what to do, because we are here, we decided to bring the 9009 out and take photos that we normally don't get to take, and the schedule had made to go to Las Vegas, Rat Fink Museum, Mojave, Monument Valley, Sedona and back to California! When I heard about it I was quite shocked, but this is also an enjoyable schedule.
The transportation for this Road Trip is this Chevy Van!
まずはラスベガスを目指して約5時間のドライブ！
ラスベガスに入ってすぐにある、Shelby American IncのMuseumへと向かいました！
First, a 5 hours drive to Las Vegas!
We visited the Museum of Shelby American Inc., which is located right in Las Vegas!
ちなみにCobraの1号車はMOON Equipment Co.内で作られたのはご存知ですか？
BonnevilleのLegend, Fred Larsen もそのメンバーです。
この車の製作にたずさわったのはほぼMOONのSTAFF, Hot Roddersだった様です。
そしてCarroll Shelbyがその1号車をテストドライブする前にDean MOONが勝手に運転しちゃったの知ってますか？
さてその１号車をペイントする事となった際DeanはYELLOWを主張Shelbyは反対、
結局お披露目はアルミボディをSOS(スチールウール)で磨いたアルミ地となりこの１号はイベントごとに塗り替えられ、
その過程でDean Jeffrey がRoad and Track誌の表紙にもなったパールイエローに塗ったそうです。
その後Shelbyは拠点Scarabの跡地に移り, そしてLAX(映画にもあった空港)へ移ったそうです。
Dean と何があったのでしょうか？
Shige-sanいわく「わかる気がする」とのことです。
Did you know that the 1st Cobra is made at MOON Equipment Co.?
Bonneville's Legend Fred Larsen is also one of that members.
STAFF from MOON and Hot Rodder were most of the members who built this car.
And, did you know that Dean MOON drove it without permission before Carroll Shelby had the test drive of the 1st edition?
When it came time to paint the first car, Dean insisted to paint in YELLOW, and Shelby was against it.
As a result, it was unveiled as an Aluminum body polished with the SOS (Steel Wool), and this one was repainted for each event. In that process, it was painted as Pearl Yellow by Dean Jeffrey, which featured the front cover of the Road & Track Magazine.
After that, Shelby moved to the site of its Scarab base and moved again to LAX(Airport which was in the movie).
What happened with Dean?

椅子に座るのはCaroll Shelbyご本人。
そして車に座り、指を差しているのがLegendary Bonneville Racer Fred Larsen.
後ろに見えるタイヤラック等は約60年経った今でも使われています。
1st Cobraはこの様にペイントされずスチールウール(SOS)でアルミボデイーを磨きお披露目されたそうです。
その後、イベントごとに様々なペイントが施され、すでに生産車が沢山ある様に見せたとの事です。
その中のOne ColorがPearl Yellowでした。
The 1st Cobra was built at the Warehouse of the present-day MOONEYES USA. Carol Shelby, himself sits on the chair.
And the person who is in the car and pointing is the Legendary Bonneville Racer Fred Larsen.
The tire rack and other equipment, seen in the photo are still used even after about 60 years.
The 1st Cobra was not unpainted as the photo and it was unveil with the aluminum body polished with the scotch blade(SOS).
Afterwards, it was painted in variety for each events, and made it look like there are a lots of it.
One of the color was Pearl Yellow.
Southern California のHot Rodder達にとって、Engine Swapはお手の物だったのでしょう。

夕食は、イタリアンを食べ、不幸すぎるこの状況でちょっとは良いことあるだろうとカジノでポーカーやってみたら、
ディーラーのおばちゃんも同情してくれるくらいにストレート負け。笑
でも、ラスベガスでカジノした思い出にはなりました！
最近ラスベガスに出来た、MSGスフィアという球体や噴水ショーなども見てきました！
For dinner, we ate an Italian. I thought that there will be something fortunate will happen in this unfortunate circumstance and challenged Poker at the Casino. But I lost in a straight set that even the lady at the dealership felt sorry for me.
Although, it is a good memory playing at a casino in Las Vegas!
We also saw the Sphere and the water fountain show called MSG Sphere, which was recently built in Las Vegas!
今回Bonnevilleへ行く予定だったemi-san, Kijimoto-san, Toichi-san 3名とラスベガスで合流し
その後の工程はemi-sanのTravel Arrangementで進められたのです。
We met up with emi-san, Kijimoto-san, and Toichi-san, who were planning to go to Bonneville, in Las Vegas, and the rest of the Travel arrangements is proceeded according to emi-san.

次の日、ラスベガスを出発して、Utah州のMantiという街にあるRat Fink Museumに行き、
Ed Rothの奥様であるIlene-sanにご挨拶する予定です！
ラスベガスを出て、ラスベガスモータースピードウェイを超えた辺りで、急に連絡が入り、 先に出発していた車両の後輪がバーストしたとのこと。
運よく後ろを走っていたので、Free wayの真ん中でレスキュー！
一応、工具全部持って来ててよかったです。

The next day, we departed Las Vegas and went to Rat Fink Museum which is located in the town called Manti in Utah, and planned to say hello to Ilene-san who is the wife of Ed Roth!
When we left Las Vegas and passed the Las Vegas motor speedway, there was a sudden call, that the rear wheel of the car that had departed earlier burst.
Luckily, we were running at the back, and rescued in the middle of the Freeway!
It was fortunate that we had all the tools.
スペアタイヤに交換し、Utahに向け再出発！！
って1時間くらい走ったところで、またバースト。。
流石にもうスペアもないし、AAA(日本のJAFみたいなサービスです。)を呼んで、近くのタイヤショップで5本とも交換です。
We replaced it with a spare tire, and re-departure it to Utah!!
After an hour, it burst again...
We didn't have spares anymore so, we called AAA, and replaced 5 tires at a tire shop nearby.
Rat Fink Museumのアポイントは取ってて、Ed Rothの奥様待たせてる状況でしたので、
二手に分かれ、無事なChevy VanでMuseumへと向かいました！
奥様怒らせたら、世界中のEd Rothファンにも怒られそうですからね。。
We took an appointment beforehand with Rat Fink Museum and made Ed Roth's wife wait for us so, we got separated into two and went to the Museum with the Chevy Van!
何とか約束の3時間遅れでMuseumに到着！
お待たせして申し訳ない！って思ったら、まさかの自宅の敷地内にMuseam作ってました！！
待つというかずっといる場所！
約束の時間を3時間遅れで到着しても、Ilene-san快く迎え入れて下さり、ご自宅とMuseamを見学させて頂きました！
We finally arrived at the Museum after 3 hours late from the time we promised!
When we apologized for being late, the Museum was built on the premises of their home.
Actually, it is a place to stay, instead of waiting!
Although we were late for 3 hours, Ilene-san kindly welcomed us and tour us their Museum!
きっと多分、こんな場所に来るタイミングも無いでしょうから、本当に貴重な体験が出来ました。
Ilene-sanとも初めてお会いすることが出来て、嬉しかったです！
I am sure that I will probably never have the chance to come to a place like this, so it was truly a valuable experience!
I am also happy to meet Ilene-san for the first time!

We also had a tour inside their house!
あまり遅くなると夕食の時間になってしまいますので、Museamを出発し、次の目的地のモアブに向かい出発です！
車で2時間程移動して、モアブに着いた頃には、日も暮れて今までに見たことないくらいの星空が見られました。
写真に収められなかったのが、悔やまれます。
翌日は、モアブの街並みを散策し、モニュメントバレーへと出発！
途中、景色が良さそうな場所に止まってバイクを降ろして撮影！
何に使うかわかりませんが、思い出作りです。笑
If we stay too long it will be dinner time, so we departed the Museum and headed for our next destination, Mojave!
We drove for 2 hours and by the time we arrived at Mojave, the sun had set, and we saw a starry sky that I had never seen before.
It's regretting that I couldn't take a picture of it.
The next day we took a walk through the street of Mojave, and headed to Monument Valley!
On the way, we stopped at a nice scenery and had a photo shoot of the bike!
I'm not sure when to use it, but it's for memory.
道中撮影をしていたら、オランダから来たというグループに声を掛けられ、
バイクの前で一緒に写真を撮ってもらいました！
彼らもBonnevilleを目的に来ていたようです。
While we were taking the photo, a group from the Netherlands approached us and took a photo together at the front of the bike!
They were also here for Bonneville.
そして、モニュメントバレーに到着！
ここは、マックィーンとメーターの街、ラジエータースプリングスの元となった場所だそうで、
なんとなく、映画の中の描写が似ています。
Then we arrived at Monument Valley!
This place was the original location of the Radiator Spring which is the place McQueen and Mater live, so it is similar scenery as the film.
現地で暮らしている方々は、インディアンで、ここの人たちは、観光業で暮らせているようです。
インディアン同士で会話している時は、英語じゃなくインディアン語のようで、全く聞き取れませんでした。
モニュメントバレーの中に入ると、今は居なくなってしまった種族のインディアンが壁に書いた絵を見せてもらいました！
When we went to Monument Valley, we saw the drawings on the wall!
まるで異世界に来た様な感覚になれる場所でした！
It was a place that made me feel as if I was in another world!
この日はそのまま、モニュメントバレーに泊まり、スインググリルという、
ステーキをブランコのようにスイングしている網の上で焼いてくれる食事を食べました。
This day, we stayed at the Monument Valley and ate a Swing Grill, where steak is cooked on the net like it is on a swing.
次の日、モニュメントバレーからセドナまで、約4時間の道のりを走り、
またまた、道中景色のいいところでは、写真の撮影を行いつつ、目的地のセドナを目指しました。
The next day we drove for 4 hours to Sedona from Monument Valley. Again, on the way, we stopped at some place with nice scenery took photos, and headed to the destination Sedona.
セドナは、パワースポットらしいので、雨男に効くパワーストーンを探しに行ったのですが、
お店の人に聞くと、それは、空にお願いした方が早いと言われました。笑 そりゃそうだ。
石がないならパワースポットに実際に行って清めてもらおうと思い、
Airport Mesaというパワースポットに行き、清めようと思った矢先、
バイクの積み下ろしで足をねん挫。
見事に駐車場の輪留めの上に着地してます。
Sedona is said to be a place with spiritual energy, and I looked for a gemstone for a rain bringer. When I asked the staff in the shop, I said that it is faster to pray to a god. That's right.
If there isn't a stone, I thought of going to the place with spiritual energy to purify myself and headed to Airport Mesa. During the loading, I fell on the parking block and sprained my leg.
数日まともに歩けませんでした。笑
I was not able to walk properly for a few days.
そして、無事？にカリフォルニアに戻ってきました！
道中色々なことが起こった今回の旅。
たまにはイベントのない息抜きもいいかもしれませんね。
皆さんも今回の旅の道中で行きたい場所があったら、行ってみて下さい！
レース走れずに落ち込んでた僕でも、行ってよかったと思えた場所でした。
And we were safely? back in California!
It was a trip that many things happened on the way. It might be good to have a trip like this without an event.

Even though I was depressed because I couldn't run the race, I was glad to have been there.

“Bonneville World Final” に出走するための航空券を購入しました。

Due to various reasons this year might be the last challenge so, I bought an air ticket to race for the "Bonneville World Final" which is from September 30th to October 3rd.
Re-challenge after getting rid of this rain luck.
When this blog is posted, I am maybe back from Indonesia?
